May 3, Call for members for Nominating Committee and new Officers
At our Annual Meeting (May 28th) our Charter requires the election of all officers of the PCRC for a one year term. At our last meeting John Cafferty was appointed Chairman of the Nominating Committee.
He has chosen three others to assist him, Karen Barry, Steve Bois and Jeanie Falcone.
They have asked to send out an appeal to all members to contact them if they have an interest in serving as one of the PCRC Officers or would like to recommend an individual for consideration.
Anyone who is not currently a member but is interested in serving as an Officer in the PCRC must become a member of the PCRC. This can be done by the Treasurer receiving their dues prior to being nominated.
If you would like to become an Officer or want to recommend someone please contact John at
jcafferty@comcast.net or one of the other members of his Nominating Committee.

January 26, Plymouth County GOP Breakfast
Many Republicans from around the region gathered this morning to share some coffee, stories, and talk of candidates in the 2008 elections.
{Several photos are available here}
Below are Jeff Beatty and Jim Ogonowski - candidates for US Senate.
January 16, Massachusett's own Mitt Romney wins Michigan Presidential Primary
While many had written former MA Governor Mitt Romney's chances off leading into the Michigan Presidential Primary, he won the State last night.  Romney finished with 39 percent of the vote, well ahead of McCain with 30 percent, and Mike Huckabee with 16 percent. Ron Paul ended up in fourth with 6 percent, Fred Thompson in fifth with 4 percent, and Rudy Giuliani in sixth with 3 percent.
January 8, Results from Primaries/Caucuses for President
With the New Hampshire primary results coming in, and in combination with the earlier caucuses in Iowa and Wisconsin, a clearer picture is emerging of the race for the GOP selection as nominee for President.
   * Rudy Giuliani has not really campaigned in any of the first three, and has not challenged for any of the wins.
   * Mike Huckabee, with a strong performance in Iowa, had a respectable (but distant) third-place finish in New Hampshire.
   * John McCain followed up a couple of weak perfomances with a strong showing in the Granite State, where he appears to have a 5-6% point win.
   * Former MA Governer Mitt Romney, after a win in Wyoming, now has two second-place finishes in Iowa and New Hampshire.
Barring something dramatic, other candidates could be soon withdrawing from the race.  With 1191 delegates (of 2390) needed for nomination, the current ranking is:
Romney 29; Huckabee 20; McCain 9; Thompson 6; Paul 2; Giuliani 1; Hunter 1.
