Although this past election cycle in Massachusetts (and pretty much across the country) did not go as many Republicans had hoped, the work must continue. As a former Speaker of the House (Thomas "Tip" O'Neill) once said - "all politics is local".
In Massachusetts, this means politics at the city and town level. For most communities, those elections will be in April and May. Your neighbors will be taking out papers for Board of Selectmen, Planning Board, School Committee, Recreation, and many other Boards and Committees. We urge you to find out about your friends and neighbors who are or may be considering a run for election.
Seeking office can be a difficult and scary proposition for many. Your assistance and encouragement can make a difference to these individuals and help determine who will represent you in the coming years.
