December 4, Jack E. Robinson (Sr.) passes away over weekend

Jack E. Robinson, businessman and Republican activist, died over the weekend from congestive heart failure.  Mr. Robnson served three terms as president of the Boston chapter of the NAACP.  He was also a powerful organizer for the Republican Party.
Mr. Robinson was a friend to former senator Edward Broooke, a Republican who in 1966 became the first elected black to the Senate.
A quote from Mr. Robinson "I'm a fighter. When I win, I win, and when I lose, I get ready for the next battle, and there is always going to be a battle." shows the desire he had.
Mr. Robinson leaves his wife Claudette; sons Jack E. Jr. (also a Republican activist) and David; daughters Sarah, Jacqueline Bonner and Sandra Niles; and eight grandchildren.
