November 14, Turnover at the top of State GOP

Not unexpected, but announced earlier today is the resignation effective January of State Party Chair Darrell Crate.  While the past four years have seen the State GOP raise significant amounts of money, that money has not translated into more or better candidates.  The number of elected Republicans in the State is at an all-time low.
Rather than concentrating on fund-raising skills, now is the time for the State GOP to look to someone who can build the Party from the local level.  Many names are in circulation, with even more likely to emerge as January approaches.  The direction of the State GOP rests with our 80 elected State Committee Men and Women, and who is ultimately chosen to lead.
