November 13, Current status of Republicans in Massachusetts
Last Tuesday's election has left the State with very few Republicans in leadership roles.  It is essential that a different approach be taken by Republicans to reverse the trend of the past few years.  New emphasis must be placed on local elections.  What is often referred to as the "farm team" or "grass-roots" has even greater meaning now.
It is a practical impossibility to challenge for State-wide or Congressional seats when the individual attempts this task without prior experience and accompanying political understanding.
The future rests with these thirty-one individuals and the direction they provide leading up to the next election in 24 months.  This will likely include wholesale changes in leadership of the State GOP - Chairman Darrell Crate, Executive Director Brian Dodge, and on down the line including coordinators and directors.  Leadership of the past four years has only resulted in fewer elected Republicans.  Extreme times require dramatic changes, and that time is now.
